Contemporary virtuoso duo AVAWAVES, comprising of Anna Phoebe and Aisling Brouwer, are set to follow their expansive 2019 debut album ‘Waves’ with their exquisite new LP ‘Chrysalis’, released October 8th via One Little Independent. AVAWAVES are rooted in cinematic narratives, evoking emotional journeys of the heart and mind.
Effortlessly transcending the constraints of modern neo-classical music, AVAWAVES are rooted in cinematic narratives, evoking emotional journeys of the heart and mind. Consisting of violinist Anna Phoebe and pianist Aisling Brouwer, AVA is an entity of turbulent imagination born from the intuition and maverick spirits of two compelling performers.
The brand new upshot of this collaboration is the album Waves, newly released on One Little Indian.
Never conforming to expectations and yet instantly accessible, the music composed by these two exciting young artists is a sonorous consequence of two opposing forces determined to carve their identities into each other’s lives.
To watch them interact on stage is a mesmerising experience, distilling the ebb and flow of their musicianship into an addictive and captivating intensity.
AVAWAVES is about communion – with each other, with nature, with womanhood, with dreams and ultimately with each privileged listener encountering their stunningly fresh sound.
