Anchorsong with a String Quartet

Islington Assembly Hall

Tickets: £12.50, 15

Times: 7pm - 11pm

Anchorsong delivers one of his most special live shows to date.

The intricate electronic works of Japanese producer Anchorsong represent a refreshingly minimalist approach to beat-making. Ambient soundscapes and nuanced textures meet disorientating samples, angular percussion and an air of deep electronica to create a uniquely eclectic and intriguing sound.

Anchorsong – aka Masaaki Yoshida – has become globally recognised for his unique live shows, which many people have described as “like watching a painter drawing on a white canvas”. Using samplers, keyboards and other electronic hardware, he somehow recreates his stunning electronic music completely live, layer by layer.

What’s more, a String Quartet will accompany Yoshida to provide yet more layers of ethereal intrigue on this, one of his biggest headline shows to date. It is this constant commitment to his live show that has earned Anchorsong his reputation as one of the best live performers in electronic music.

Don’t miss your chance to witness his multifaceted electronic works being created and performed in front of your very eyes.
